“Yamada-Ya” was started in 1924 after the Great Kanto Earthquake by the first founder Kichiji Yamada as the restaurant providing catered cooking such as Sushi, Tempura and other variety of cookings. 

Masami Mori, who was the next successor (2-daime), was born in July 25th,1916, in Gujo-Hachiman in Gifu Pref. After graduating a compulsory elementary school, he came to Tokyo to get a job in Yamada-Ya in Oimachi of Tokyo.
